I am interested in graphic narrative in tattoos. I am drawn to surrealist etching, like the graphic works of Max Klinger and Maxwell Ernst. These early "graphic novels," along with contemporary graphic novels like "Fun Home" and "The Arrival," inspire me in tattooing. I am interested in working with the stories behind a tattoo, and creating images imbued with secret meaning.

If you want to see me geek out, bring me ideas which involve anatomy diagrams, antique implements, naturalist botanical illustrations, packs of wild dogs, etchings illustrating great literature, surrealist paintings (especially Dali), art nouveau, or whatever idea occurs to you.
