My client is a confectioner who has devoted her whole back to botanical diagrams of plants she uses in making sweets: vanilla, passionflower, cherry to name a few. I am delighted with the final composition, which captures the beauty of the plants as well as the beauty of the hand painted diagrams we used as reference material. It was deeply satisfying to collaborate with a client with such a strong aesthetic and attention to symmetry and detail.
